St George Mining Ltd - to Resume Drilling at Mt Alexander

Emerging WA nickel company St George Mining (ASX: SGQ) has expanded its drill program for the Mt Alexander Project, near Leonora, and is scheduled to resume shortly. The program will commence with the testing of four new EM conductors at the Investigators Prospect. Diamond drilling of these conductors is planned to commence on 8 July 2018. To support the drilling program, St George has secured $2.5 million via a placement.

NRW Holdings - Golding enters agreement with Stanmore Coal to commence production at Isaac Plains East

NRW Holdings Ltd (ASX:NWH) has announced its wholly-owned subsidiary Golding Contractors has reached an agreement with Stanmore Coal to commence production at Isaac Plains East in July. The scope of the work is inline with the current Isaac Plains East contract and includes the obligations of the mine operator performing drill and blast services, truck and excavator operations, coal mining and mine rehabilitation, amongst other activities. The value of the extension is worth about $93 million.

St George Mining Ltd - Assays Confirm Further High Grades at Mt Alexander

Emerging WA nickel company St George Mining (ASX: SGQ) says the latest assays received for drilling at the Mt Alexander Project, located near Leonora in the northern Goldfields, have confirmed further high-grade nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation along a +400m strike at the Stricklands Prospect. Laboratory assays have confirmed thick intersections of mineralisation at Stricklands. MAD105 and MAD106 were drilled in the far west of the Stricklands prospect area, and the results from these drill holes indicate that mineralisation is open to the west.

Magmatic Resources - advances major Cu-Au Porphyry project

Magmatic Resources (ASX: MAG) has released an exploration update on its Myall Gold and Copper-Gold Project, part of its East Lachlan portfolio in New South Wales. The update includes a target review which identified four untested high-order geological-geochemical targets within previously identified porphyry copper-gold systems, and results from an aircore and watercore with diamond tail drilling program.

ASX Announcement Jupiter Mines Limited - Flags Prospect of a Healthy H1 2019 Distribution

Investors have sent Jupiter Mines (ASX: JMS) shares up as much as 14% on news that production at the Tshipi managanese mine in South Africa was tracking ahead of full-year targets while Tshipi's cash coffers were fuller than expected. Tshipi (owned 49% by Perth-based Jupiter) expects to distribute ZAR1.5 billion (~$A150 million) to its shareholders in September, with Jupiter confirming today it intended to pass most of the cash on to its shareholders in dividends.

Challenger Energy - Update on Progress in Sth Africa and Planned Capital Raising

Challenger Energy (ASX:CEL) has provided the market with an update on its activities in South Africa, as well as a planned capital raising. The company notes continued positive momentum in South Africa, following the election of Cyril Ramaphosa and key cabinet changes with progress on the MPRDA Amendment Bill. Challenger is also planning to undertake a 1:4 non-renounceable rights issue to raise about $973,000, with major shareholders to take up their entitlements.

Mineral Resources - Acquisition of Cliffs' Yilgarn Iron Ore Assets

Mineral Resources (ASX: MIN) has entered into a definitive agreement with Cleveland-Cliffs Inc to acquire the assets that were used by its wholly owned subsidiary, Cliffs Asia Pacific Iron Ore Pty Ltd, to run its Koolyanobbing iron ore operation in the Yilgarn region of Western Australia. The assets that MRL will acquire include Cliffs’ tenements and all remaining iron ore as well as the fixed plant, equipment and non-process infrastructure items on those tenements. 

Northern Minerals - Heavy Rare Earths Pilot Plant nearing completion

Australian heavy rare earths developer, Northern Minerals Limited (ASX: NTU) says commissioning activities for the Browns Range Pilot Plant Project are progressing as planned. The crushing circuit has been commissioned and is being used for operator training and collection of crushed ore samples for ore sorting testwork. Commissioning activities have commenced in the beneficiation plant, including the E-house, the plant control room, magnetic separation, flotation and tailings as well as plant water services.
